Sleep positions

Wednesday, September 17th, 2003

CNN has an interesting story about how your sleep position relates to your personality. I take it with a grain of salt, but it’s interesting. According to this report, I’m in the brash and gregarious minority in that I tend to sleep on my stomach with my hands next to my head. At least that’s how I go to sleep. I’m not a reliable source about what I look like when I sleep. Reportedly I snore, though.

Orson Scott Card

The man who wrote one of the best science fiction books ever written has posted an interesting article about copyright and intellectual property.

“the people complaining about all the internet “thieves” are, by any reasonable measure, rapacious profiteers who have been parasitically sucking the blood out of copyrights on other people’s work.”

And seriously, if you’ve never read Ender’s Game, you owe it to yourself to give it a chance. Erin is not a science fiction fan, but she loved the book (and its follow up, Ender’s Shadow). I’ve never met anyone who’s read the book that hasn’t loved it. Give it a read. Seriously. Okay? Please?

Work day

Been working all day. Trying to get the Word Choral Club out the door. I do final mastering and assembly for Word Music every few months, then it gets sent out and duplicated 10,000 times and sent to all the choral music directors who subscribe to the service. It’s a great gig and I enjoy doing it. It means that every few months I spend a couple of days chained to my desk for many hours to get all the edits right. Thanks to Patrick for the continued vote of confidence.
