Bungie announced today that Halo for the Mac will finally (after 3 years) start shipping Dec 3. Who cares.

Fire Ice by Clive Cussler. Yeah, I know it’s not Quantum Physics, but every so often this kind of stuff is fun to read. Cussler also wrote “Raise the Titanic”.
