Batteries

The APC UPS went south a few days ago. The batteries finally went dead after 4 years. Not too bad considering the thing is on 24×7 and handles the load to more equipment than I want to think about. Glad I got a good one to start with. Yes, UPS’s are expensive (this one ran about $350), but so is an electrical surge to all of your equipment. Again, don’t buy junk.
APC wanted $170 for the replacement batteries- ouch I went to Altex and got the same ones for $34. Thanks to Giles for the tip.
