Doing that little bit of X-10nning last night gave me the automation itch again. I want to buy a few of these so I can continue automating the lights and ceiling fans around the house. Right now there are 16 lights and 2 small fans that are controlled and 11 light/2 ceiling fans that are not. It’s an annoying mix of ugly, cheap X-10 pushbutton switches, and nicer Switchlinc switches. Some lights are automated, some are not. I figure it’ll take about $400 to automate all the lights and fans in the houe so it’s obviously a long-term project. I’d also like to get the HVAC system on an automated system and tied into the alarm. Then the whole house would turn on/off when we armed/disarmed the alarm, and the A/C would act appropriately.

*Sigh* I wish I could do everything at once. I have so many plans! Same old story, either we have the time but not the money, or the money, but not the time.
