The Big Think

Started a new shop project yesterday. I was originally going to build this, but I don’t have all the tools I need for it yet, and running back and forth to Mark’s house isn’t a good solution right now. So instead I’m putting together a companion piece to my router table. It’ll be a rolling station for the compound miter saw. I’m doing it in my favorite style: bash it together from what’s on hand and come up with the measurements as I go. Create problems and then figure out ways to solve them. That’s how the router station and tool cabinet came about and I’m happy with them.
Yesterday I cut the pieces of the carcass and dadoed/rabbeted the parts. I’ll glue up today and start working on the wings. Should be done in another day or two unless I get silly and start making it more elaborate than it has to be. ‘Course, that’s the fun part.
