Andy Kaufman Lives?

Monday, May 17th, 2004

Yesterday was the 20th anniversary of the death of Andy Kaufman. According to this website, he faked his entire death as a stunt. Seems he thought that being “dead” for 20 years was a nice round number and long enough for people- family, friends, fans, everyone but a few inside- to really get zinged by his joke. No word on if it’s true or not, but the blogger says he will come forward with “definitive proof” very soon. My guess is it’s a very bad joke and an attempt to make Kaufman as immortal as Elvis.

– Alexander Graham Bell (1847-1922) , Scottish-born American inventor
